מעון חירום לנשים (ע"ר)

מעון חירום לנשים הוקם בשנת 1995 ע"י הרשות המקומית, משרד הרווחה וקואליציית הנשים המקומית ומאז מפעיל מעון לנשים מוכות ולילדיהן הממוקם באזור הצפון. המעון קולט ומטפל בנשים וילדים שהגיעו אליו מכל רחבי הארץ.
מטרת עמותת מעון חירום לנשים היא לספק הגנה פיזית ונפשית, ולטפל בצרכיהם הרבים והמגוונים של הנשים והילדים שמגיעים למעון. נשים וילדים אלה נאלצו - שלא באשמתם - לבחור בין שלומם הגופני והנפשי - לבין ביתם, סביבתם, מכריהם ושיגרת חייהם, ולברוח אל המקלט.
